Applicants

Our goal at the Susie Royer Syke Literacy Fellowship is to provide scholarships to certified teachers who wish to access workshops, course work and learning opportunities to advance their understandings of best practices and their effectiveness as teachers. Our purpose is to fund small grants for literacy educators in the form of workshops, classes, conferences, course work, etc.  Applications will be evaluated according to how well they align with the SRSLF mission.

Please note: the Fellowship is not a funding site for entire Masters or Ph.D. programs.  Applicants may only receive grants every 3 years. If you are applying as a team, please limit the team to four members.

Applications are being accepted for individual educators, teams of teachers or for school wide professional development opportunities in the area of literacy.  They are due November 1, 2011. Recepients will be notified by December 15, 2011.
